Welcome to the Conference Talk Community.

Every 6 months, the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gather to Salt Lake City for a General Conference. These modern day prophets are called by God to lead us and teach us how to prepare to meet our Heavenly Father and Savior again. Every individual the world over is invited to listen to their words and follow their counsel. Those who do will draw closer to the Savior and find peace and happiness in their lives.

However, following the counsel given in General Conference is not as easy and simple as it might seem. Satan's influence is strong in the world and we are constantly bombarded with lesser choices and lies that would lead us away from the love our Heavenly Father freely offers us. Only by making the words of the prophets, both modern and ancient, a part of our lives, through study, prayer, and obedience, will we have the power to come unto Christ and overcome the influence of the world.

I invite you to use this site as a tool to enhance your studies of the General Conference talks. I know that if you apply their teachings to your lives, you will draw closer to the Lord, Jesus Christ. The prophet, President Monson, his counselors, and the 12 apostles are the Lord's ministers on earth today.
